1. SUNBURN

Get out of the sun immediately and stay out of the sun for the next few days.
Drink lots of water or a mix of water and apple juice.
Place yoghurt on the burnt parts of the skin to cool and ease the pain.
Use cooling gels but no rich cream.

2. HANGOVER

Drink lots of water or juice with sparkling water.
A black tea with sugar stabilises the circulation.
Avoid coffee.
Eat eggs with bacon, lots of fresh fruit and whole grain products, for the salt and minerals.

3. INSECT BITES

Cool the bite with cold water
Cut up an onion and lay it on the bite.
Place  a damp sugar cube on the bite to draw out the poison
On a fresh mosquito bite you can drop some lemon juice on it to stop the itching.
Avoid itching  and scratching it as it can become worse and infected.

4. JELLYFISH STING

If a jellyfish stings you, the truth is, it burns the skin.
Keep cool and get out of the water.
Let the skin air dry and after rub the affected area with dry sand.
Putting vinaigrette or lemon juice on a cloth and applying to the affected area also helps.
If it hurts a lot or the skin becomes very red, please contact a doctor.

5. INJURY

Don’t touch the affected area and don’t try to rub it clean.
Clean the area under running water.
It is best not to use a plaster.
Let small wounds heal with fresh air.
With bigger wounds consult a doctor.

6. ALLERGIC REACTION

In case of an allergic reaction please call a doctor immediately, because you don’t know
what has caused it and it can be very serious.

7. DIARRHOEA

Drink lukewarm cola (shake it so it goes flat) in small sips and eat a salty snack.
Puree a banana and eat 2 portions during the day and an apple.
Drink at least 3 liters of still water (not cold) or black tea with salt during the day and
eat a rusk.
Drink electrolytes which you can find in any pharmacy.

8. VOMITING

Drink a cup of peppermint or camomile tea.
Drink lots of weak black tea.
Eat damp fennel.
Eat chicken soup spiced with ginger.
Don’t eat anything fatty.
Keep out of the sun.

9. SUN ALLERGY

In the case of itching you can use cooling Antihistamine or recipe free cortisone gel.
If you have an extreme allergic reaction or you can see changes in the skin please consult a doctor.

10. SUNSTROKE

Lay down in the shade.
Place you head higher than the rest of your body.
Cool the head down with a wet cloth.
Drink isotonic drinks but not freezing cold.
Call a doctor and stay calm in a cool, dark place.
